Over 40 new plein air oil paintings ranging in size from 12″x12″ to 3′ x 24′ !  Please join me for this exciting evening and see the newly expanded and remodeled Blue Horse Gallery.

Bellingham’s oldest art gallery, under the same ownership. Blue Horse Gallery represents Trish Harding as well as 25+ other fine artists, from throughout the United States and British Columbia, Canada. Our focus is “regional” artists - but these artist’s work can be found in New York, L.A., Santa Fe and truly in collections and galleries all over the world.

We are very proud of all of the talented and hard working individuals we feature at the Blue Horse Gallery.  If there is a theme for the Blue Horse Gallery, it is simply… Fine Art because our mix is quite eclectic. We exhibit abstract art and representational art, oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels and original prints, portraits, landscapes, still-lifes, impressionistic subjects, marine art.

We host the PAPO, NOPE, and “Reaching for the Light” Breast Cancer Awareness Exhibit among others.

Call to 2-D artists in Western WA

The Blue Horse Gallery is proud to present its annual “Ship of Fools” Exhibition. This show celebrates artists’ free expression: Socio-political visual commentary invited. All meaningful works accepted. Size limit approximately 22” x 28” framed. Must be ready-to-hang with wire.

If being sent, return postage and return mailing label must be included. Send entries to gallery so that they are received before March 30. Entry/handling fee if sent: $10.

Exhibition dates: April 1 – 12.
Receiving March 30, 12 – 5.
Fools’ Reception: Tuesday, April 1st, 5-9 PM.
Pick-up: Sunday, April 13, 12 – 5 PM.

Thank you, everyone who showed up for the reception!  I think the most important thing for me was having so many of my favorite people around.  The evening was a huge success and Blue Horse Gallery sold seven pieces!  The show runs through the end of the month so there is plenty of time for you to see it if you missed the opening.  It will also be featured at the Closing Reception during the Downtown Gallery Walk on Friday March 28, 7-10pm.

Susann, Margot and myself attended a lecture by Robert Genn at the Whiterock Museum yesterday, met him and I purchased his latest book, Love Letters to Art.  It was very interesting to meet the man who pens the Twice Weekly Newsletter; an online newsletter  provides me with so much inspiration!

the Creative Arts Community has provided
unique residential workshops at Menucha,
just twenty minutes east of Portland, Oregon. Overlooking the spectacular Columbia River Gorge,
the historic 90-acre Meier estate offers walking & jogging trails, meditative gardens, tennis & volleyball courts & an outdoor swimming pool.

 In 2 one-week sessions this August, the workshops feature outstanding instructors, and a variety of small classes in a nurturing community atmosphere.

Studios are open 24 hours.

WEEK 1 AUG 3 - 9

This is the perfect class for beginners, advanced or professional painters. Review value, learn the basics to produce simple thumbnail sketches, field studies, and concise under paintings. We will be looking for a new visual language. Be prepared to work hard,stretch your parameters, participate actively, and have many laughs.
