Please Join Us to Celebrate the Life of Ryan Triplett

Published by Trish under Other Stuff, Community Events

Our beloved Ryan Alan Murray Triplett was born in Bellingham, Washington on June 5, 1977. He died September 7, 2008 on Goat Mountain, Mazama, Washington way before we were ready to let him go. Ryan was an accomplished athlete in hockey, canoeing, backcountry & downhill skiing, and is well respected in the cycling and rock climbing communities. He was a hard-working software developer with many ideas for the future, but his true passions were his wife and rock climbing. He was an adventuresome soul devoted to his beloved Jennifer, with whom he shared the fairy-tale love. Ryan had many passions: friends, traveling, family, his wonder-dog Makiah, and the outdoors. Ryan could often be found on Turn 2 at the Marymoor Velodrome cheering on Jennifer, a national track champion. Ryan and Jennifer met as college students at Western Washington University, where he graduated in 2001; the couple was married in Bellingham on September 2, 2001.

Ryan is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Ann Sutton Triplett and dog Makiah Blue Triplett; mother & stepfather, Trish and Tom Harding; sisters Molly, Tammy & brothers Garrett and Wyatt Harding; father & stepmother, Gary and Anita Triplett; grandmother, Annamae Murray; aunts, uncles and cousins; in-laws Caprice Magoon, George, Jaimie, Coleman and Laurel Sutton, Marcy Sutton; friends too numerous to mention.

Ryan died following his passion for rocks and height in Mazama, a special place for him. We shall all miss him, but he will live on in the hearts of all those he touched.

Donations can be made to the Ryan Triplett Memorial Fund at https://www.accessfund.org/secure/giving.php to benefit and preserve climbing venues.

Ryan’s family invites all friends and family to attend a celebration of his life on Sunday, September 21st at 5pm at his mother’s Art Studio (Studio UFO), 301 W Holly Street, Bellingham, WA, 360-319-6115.  There will be food, music stories and a lot of laughter. If you are a musician, bring your instrument. Ryan requested that we let the IPA flow, so you can bring a six-pack.  All are invited to make a toast to him.

Woodstock Farm Art Show needs volunteers

dsc05140.JPGJust

Just a note to say we need more volunteers for the show, especially on Saturday and Sunday.  Looking for guys to man the parking areas in three hour shifts to help with the parking of cars and loading and unloading of shuttles.  We also need a gatekeeper during the hours of the show to assist with safe shuttle entrance and departure and to keep guests from parking on the site.  We need people in the house as hostesses as well.

If interested please contact Christine at christineturnbaugh@comcast.net
